Designing Interiors that Inspire

Here in Elyson, Brookfield Residential offers homes in a variety of floor plans and sizes. Our newest offering are homes on 40- and 45-foot homesites, which pack abundant living into a smaller footprint. Priced from the mid $300s, these homes are built around a central greenspace called Ember Park and located close to shopping, schools, and more. 

When it came time to choose the interior options for these homes, Brookfield Residential’s Director of Design Carley Rolon wanted to make it easy for buyers to create cohesive, beautiful interiors. Carley and her team pulled together 12 Design Collections to simplify the design process and give buyers a starting point for gracious living. We sat down with Carley to find out what inspired the collections and what buyers’ reactions have been.

What was your inspiration when you were putting the collections together? 

The inspiration came from how people actually live in their homes. We wanted each collection to feel timeless, approachable, and layered — something that feels elevated but not overly expensive. The goal was to create curated options that feel cohesive and intentional, while still allowing homeowners to see themselves in the space.

Do you have a sense of what people are liking most?

We’re seeing a strong response to clean, neutral palettes paired with subtle contrast and texture. Homeowners really appreciate how easy the collections make the design process — they feel confident knowing the selections work beautifully together without feeling overwhelming.

Is there one collection or detail that’s your favorite?

It’s difficult to pick a single favorite, but I’m most drawn to the details that add warmth and depth — natural textures, two tone cabinet colors, and intentional accents like gold finishes. Those touches elevate the overall design and make each space feel refined and custom.

Is there a cost difference in the different design packages?

Packages vary in cost based on materials and finishes. The packages are designed to offer a range of options at different price points so that customers can choose what best aligns with their style and budget.

If someone is building, can they make changes, or do they have to stick with a collection exactly as listed?

Homeowners building from the ground up have flexibility to personalize their package. Our sales team is there to guide them through this process.
