It was the home she kept coming back to.
When Nancy told her friends she was looking in Elyson, several of them mentioned it was their dream neighborhood. “That definitely gave it brownie points,” she said.
Safety first
It was Nancy’s Realtor who had first suggested she check out Elyson, and Brookfield was the first builder Nancy looked at. “I wanted to be able to walk my dog, Remi, and feel safe,” Nancy says. “I knew I wanted a single-family home with two stories and a minimum of three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms. And I didn’t want a duplex.”
Interiors by design
When Nancy first toured the Rutgers, she felt like she was home. “It looks like a model home,” Nancy says. “I love the shower they chose. I have a bunch of upgrades that came with my home that I was so happy about. The front door was an upgrade, the backsplash, my shower. There were appliances they had added.”
Time for a bold move
When she found out someone else was interested in the move-in-ready home she had her eye on, Nancy knew it was time to take action. “I had looked at a few other communities as well, but this is the one I kept coming back to,” Nancy says. “I worked with Belinda, and she was great. She was very knowledgeable. I’ve had a good experience.”
Making it her own
Since moving in, Nancy has already started customizing her new home – and hosting parties. “I built an outdoor pergola with a kitchen and grill area,” Nancy says. “My friends have been begging me to do a barbeque out there. I did have a housewarming last month.”
A growing community
Nancy is enjoying getting to know the area and her neighbors. “My next door neighbor is nice,” she says. “Not all the houses are built yet – they’re building them now – and I’m excited to see who will be across the street. It’s always nice when you’re in a developing area, because you look forward to what’s coming. I’m always checking out how quickly they’re building.”
Room for Remi
Remi, Nancy’s 6.5 lb toy poodle is happy to have a yard of his own. “He’s a purse dog,” Nancy says. “He’s really cute! He enjoys the area, and there’s a lot of space for him!”
