For Alfredo Ramos, both construction and customer care were part of the family business: his dad had a construction company in their native home of Venezuela. “Customer care has been in my life since I was a kid,” he says. “I was always learning how to be the best human possible for our customers and learning how to do the right thing for them.”
Today, as a Customer Care Representative with Brookfield Residential, Alfredo takes his job very seriously. “I take care of our customers after closing,” Alfredo says, “It’s my job to make sure that your home is performing. Everything that has to do with warranty and the operations for the first and second year is part of my responsibility.”
Alfredo uses his deep knowledge of home construction to help buyers understand the inner workings of their new home. “Our focus is with the homeowner,” he says. “In the operational walkthrough, we explain how everything works. We try to empower our homeowners so they know how to maintain their home so it will last a long time.”
In cases where something does go wrong, Alfredo serves as a liaison between the homeowners, construction team, and vendors to get the issue resolved as quickly as possible. “Each home is made of an immense number of items put together by a thousand hands, and it serves as a safe space for your family, so we care a lot,” Alfredo says. “It’s part of our spirit and our nature and the culture of Brookfield.”
Alfredo and his family have been in Houston since 2019, and when he’s not working, they enjoy spending time together exploring the city. He and his wife have three children and two Siberian Huskies, Cupcake (1 year) and Kazier (3 months, aka “the velociraptor stage.”) “Our home is here,” he says. “We love the city’s cultural diversity, delicious food, and friendly people,” he says. “I’m proud to call this beautiful land of Texas my home.”
