Hometown:
I grew up in Cleveland, Ohio. When I graduated from college, I was sick of snow and my older brother lived in Houston, so I moved down here to join him.
Hobbies:
I like playing golf and watching sports. I’m a diehard Browns fan, and I love the Buckeyes, so I’m happy that C.J. Stroud is playing for the Texans. I also love the Astros!
Favorite Local Spot:
I feel like good Italian food is hard to find down here, but my favorite spot is Coltavare in The Heights. I also like EZ’s Liquor Lounge – it’s a newer bar, but they made it feel like an 80s hole in the wall.
How long have you worked in real estate?
Since 2016! I have a finance background, and I started working for a builder in The Heights who was flipping houses; it was very numbers driven. After 2 years, I got my brokers’ license and began working for an investment firm that had a real estate portfolio. When Covid hit, I took over managing a huge residential building for them, but I missed the structure side of things, so I’m happy to be here at Brookfield.
Favorite part of the job:
It might be cliche, but I love the people. The team is great, and our builders are all amazing. There’s a very collaborative approach here – everyone is working together to get things done right for the customers.
Favorite floor plan/style:
I really love the Hollins. The flow is great, and it has a two-story entryway that’s nice.
What do you tell people about Brookfield homes and/or Elyson?
Because Brookfield as a company is newer to Houston, a lot of people here don’t know about our long legacy as a home builder and developer, so it’s fun to share that with them.
Any insider tips or things you think folks should know?
Don’t be afraid to ask questions and to talk to our NHCs about what you need. The reason we call them New Home Counselors instead of sales people is because they’re here to work with you. They know about all of our pricing and incentives, and they can work with the financing team to help you figure out how to structure your down payment and your monthly payments to make things work for you. They really want to help you get the home you want.
